Thursday Games, June 14th
Here's a link to the latest schedule with a correct week 3 lineup of games.
Excel Format
Also, Jay emailed some directions to Samford. I've included a map on the right. Here are his written directions:
_____________
If you are coming I-65 or Hwy 280 or US 31 get off onto Lakeshore Parkway and head towards Samford.
The IM fields are NOT on the campus proper.
Go like you would to get to Homewood High School.
Coming from 280 - pass under 31 and turn left at the first light. Turn right at the first street (just past the Nat'l Guard Post). Fields will be the second gate on the right (black iron swing gates).
From 65 - go past the entrances to Samford. Turn right at the last light before the 31 overpass. See above directions.

Thursday Games, June 7th
We had to juggle the fields around a bit for the second week of play. Here is a new schedule for week 2 games.
Excel Format
Basically, we lost a field at Wahoma and gained two fields at Samford. We'll get a final schedule out before week three that should have all the games for the rest of the season.

The $250 challenge - A discussion of fields
Getting enough fields for our league has always been a real issue for BUDA. We never have as many fields as we would like, and we would prefer to have higher quality fields than we do (esp. Eastlake/Wahouma). Jay, Nate, Stacey, Marc and others work very hard (for no pay) to find fields. With all the youth leagues in Birmingham, an adult frisbee league is last on every field providers priority list.
So, we're asking that some of the BUDA community step up to the challenge of finding fields. We need more fields for Thursday nights this summer. There needs to be at least two fields next to each other, and they need to be available for the rest of the summer on Thursdays. If you can find us a pair of fields that fits this description, we'll pay you a reward of $250. Find four fields next to each other that we can use for the season, pocket a cool $500.
If you think you've found field space, please email nate@nateschmidt.com. Nate, Jay and Marc have final say on whether your fields qualify for the prize.
Good Luck!!

Directions to Fields
Google Maps to the fields have been posted to the right. We are playing the first half of summer league at Eastlake, Wahouma and BSC. Eastlake and Wahouma are both easy to find. They are east of downtown Birmingham on 1st Avenue North. Take a left at 71st for Wahouma. For East Lake, take a left on 80th street, then a right on 4th Avenue north, and then a right on 83rd Street.
BSC is a bit trickier. You need to stop and talk to the guard at the BSC entrance and tell them you are an ultimate player, Arkadelphia Road and Bruno Drive. Take a look at the Google Map and make note of where the fields are. You need to wind around a bit to find them. If you have questions after looking at the google map, ask the guard.

Signup and Draft Info.
Signup closes at NOON today.
The draft will be tomorrow night (Tuesday night) at Zydeco. It will start at 6:30 sharp.
It would be great to have any players come by about 8:30 or later to see what team they were drafted on. Come any earlier and risk being shunned until 8:30. :]
