Eric Sjostrom (age 14). Remember the name. Give the kid 6-7 years, and he will be the best player on some college's nationally contending ultimate team. Anyone who has played pick-up with Eric knows he is a good player, but I am not sure I realized how good until this past week when the Wet Bandits took on Judy Bluem.
It's not just that his throws are always spot on. It's more than the layout grabs that would make Gray's jaw drop. Eric just "gets it." He sees the field both as a cutter, and with the disc in his hands through the eyes of someone with a deep understanding of the game.
Take note when you play him this summer. The kid is a stud. Also, he needs a nickname. I propose "Pan," playing up the wonder-kid theme.

he breaks ankles, marks and spirits....
Pan is a Fairy...and he's anything but....
How 'bout just "Kid"...
I usually call him little turd or punk ass.
We could start calling him "The Show" (Sjostrom is pronounced 'show-strom' is it not?).
